About Sterling Golf Management
Founded in 2010 by Rene Rangel and Robert Steele, Sterling Golf began as an ownership and management group that quickly expanded by acquiring Houston National Golf Club. Shortly thereafter, Sterling Golf began construction on a second championship course on the property, now known as Sterling Country Club. This unique setup makes Houston National one of the few clubs in America to feature both an 18-hole private course and an 18-hole public course.
Following the successful completion of Sterling Country Club, Sterling Golf partnered with Texas A&M University in a joint venture to renovate The Campus Course at Texas A&M. Today, Sterling Golf manages six golf courses and, in just under four years, has overseen more than $15 million in golf course and clubhouse renovations. Sterling Golf expanded to operate eleven courses in Texas and Louisiana.
In addition to golf management, Sterling Golf owns Turf Technologies, a distributor of Floratine, a top-rated turf grass growth product. Floratine is renowned worldwide and is used by elite golf courses as well as MLB, NFL, and professional soccer fields.
